Music
Inspiring music has long been a core value of Cobleskill UMC. From the days of legendary organist Miss Edna Mereness to the modern days of hand chimes, youth string ensembles and Christmas Cantatas, we love music of all types. If you share our love of music we encourage you to get involved. Here are some regular and seasonal opportunities we offer.
Choir
The choir meets every Sunday during the school year at 9:00am to rehearse music for worship. All voices are welcome! Contact our Organist, Betsy Walsh, or Choir Director, Burke Herrick, to hear more about choir.
Hand Bells
Our church is blessed with a two-octave hand chime set and a four-octave handbell set. Our handbell choir meets regularly throughout the months of September-May on Sundays after worship. If this sounds interesting to you, contact our bell director, Tom Carney, for more information.
Special Music
During all months of the year we love to feature some of our talented congregation on instruments they love to play. Whether its cello, ukulele, tin whistle or flute, let us know if you'd like to bring special music to enhance our worship of God. If you'd like to play with a group, we can make that happen, too.
